What does it mean to sponsor a Horse and Child at Hope Rides?
Hope Rides maintains a goal of providing programs free of charge as we believe there is much to be gained from the horse experience. Therefore we provide services free of charge so children who desires an opportunity to spend time at the ranch and with a horse experience are able to do just that.
The horses at Hope Rides each have a unique past that gives them the ability to reach out to children in amazing ways – making them what we call “equine counselors”.
Many of the horses come from backgrounds of neglect and abuse, Likewise many of the youth that visit the ranch come from similar backgrounds. It is the shared experiences of the horses and kids that allows them to understand each other perhaps better than anyone else can. The horses are often allowed to go to places within the heart where no one else has been allowed. It is in through this process that a connection is made and healing become possible. It has been clear since the beginning that the horses and youth benefit from each other with these benefits reaching far beyond the boundaries of the ranch. Each individual grows and heals at their own pace, here at the ranch we accept and understand that you can not rush that process, it is for that reason that we work diligently to plant seed, nurture the process and work to find creative ways to bring mentorship to those we serve while equipping them with skills that will serve them as they navigate any number of life circumstances and relationships. To help them walk in victory and not as victims.
Your sponsorship allows Hope Rides to be able to provide a variety of outreach programs to youth and families free of charge. The reality is that if there were any cost at all to come those who need it most would not be able to do so. While it is free to visit the ranch the cost to run a program of this nature is not and it is for that reason that we invite our supporters to consider shouldering our efforts and help us keep programming free by sponsoring a horse and child.
Please consider joining with us as we work to build life saving skills in the youth and families that we serve.
